Boston Sports Clubs Says Thank You to Medical Personnel with Free Gym Memberships

BSC is proud to participate in the 1,000 membership give away alongside Town Sports International's other fitness brands

New York, June 25, 2020 -- Boston Sports Clubs, in conjunction with Town Sports International's other fitness brands, announces a new initiative to thank medical personnel at the forefront of the COVID-19 crisis with free gym memberships.

BSC is participating in a 1,000 membership giveaway focused on a specific network of hospitals, whose workers will receive free memberships in thanks for the courage and selflessness they have demonstrated on the frontlines of the pandemic.

"It's an honor to be able to give back to our medical personnel in this way," said Patrick Walsh, Chairman and Chief Executive Officer of Town Sports International. "These men and women risk their lives every day to care for all of us, and we hope this small way of saying thank you makes a difference in keeping them strong and healthy for a long time to come."

Starting today, each hospital's COO or HR Representative will be contacted with instructions as to how their staff can enroll for their hospital's allotment of free Elite memberships, which provide access to over 160 of TSl's fitness clubs throughout the Northeast, California, Florida, and Puerto Rico.

The free memberships will go into effect as soon as BSC's clubs are back to normal operating hours. In preparation for reopening, BSC has instituted a number of important new procedures designed to keep its members and staff safe and healthy. All club locations will reorganize cardio equipment to allow for appropriate social distancing and ask members and staff to have their temperatures taken upon entrance, among other measures.
