Behavior
-
Parents or guardians will be notified of any child’s misbehavior. Playroom staff reserves the right to deny access to any child as a result of continual behavior problems. If a crying child cannot be consoled after 10-15 minutes, the parent or guardian will be paged.
-
-
General Rules
-
• For your child’s safety, members and guests may bring only their own children into the Playroom. All children must be signed in and out by the same parent or legal guardian, proper photo identification is required (e.g. driver’s license).
• Members and guests must remain present in the club for the entire duration of their child’s stay in the Playroom.
• The maximum stay in the Playroom is two hours per each visit to the club. Children may stay in the Playroom twice in the same day. However, there must be at least two hours between each visit.
• For safety reasons, the babysitting staff reserves the right to refuse admittance if the ratio of children to Playroom staff exceeds company guidelines:
— When children less than 3 years of age are present: ratio = 4 children / 1 staff
— When children 3 years of age and older are present: ratio = 10 children / 1 staff
• Children must have shoes on at all times (unless prohibited in certain areas of the Playroom). Please bring an extra pair of shoes during inclement weather. It is preferable that children 9 months old or younger are dropped off in a car seat or stroller. Strollers must be stored away from Playroom activity so that they do not impede traffic or become a safety risk to children. Equipment provided for children younger than 2 years old varies at each club (e.g. highchairs, walkers, swings and play mats).

Checking In and Membership Key Tags
-
Please present your key tag to the Welcome Team for scanning each time you enter the club. This improves security by distinguishing you from nonmembers. It also verifies the unique access privileges you've paid for, protecting the value of your membership. Another benefit is that we can monitor total club usage and add staff when attendance spikes. Finally, if you'd like to know how often you have used our clubs (say for tax or insurance purposes), it makes obtaining a club usage report possible.
Key tags may not be loaned to another person. Allowing someone else to use your key tag will result in immediate termination of your membership. Unfortunately, one strike and you're out.
All members will be asked to have a photograph taken in the club. This is to protect the integrity of your membership and for security purposes.

Class Reservation Policy
-
All members are required to present a Class Pass in order to attend a group exercise class in the studio. This is true regardless of whether they have made a class reservation or not.
When you initially check into the club, tell the Welcome Team which class you are taking and they will give you a Class Pass. Class Passes may be obtained as early as one hour prior to the start of the class. Passes will NOT be given out once the class begins. Reservations are null and void two minutes before the start of class.
Members without reservations may attend classes only if their membership allows access to group classes and if there is space available in the class after all reserved members have been accommodated. If the class is fully reserved, the Welcome Team will accept names of eligible members interested in attending the class. Two minutes before the class begins, any unclaimed class spaces will be given to the people who are on the waiting list and present at the Welcome Desk. Passes will be distributed in the same order as the waiting list.
This new policy has been implemented to ensure a safe and enjoyable workout for all and serve those who are paying for group class privileges. Class capacities will not be exceeded. Please do not enter if a CLASS FULL sign is displayed on the door.
Please cancel your reservation at least one hour prior to the start of the class if you have reserved but are unable to attend. This allows fellow members to reserve your vacated spot. There will be a $5 no-show fee charged to anyone who reserves a class, does not attend and does not cancel at least one hour prior to the start of the class.

Cycling Tips

• Arrive 10 minutes early to properly set up your bike.
• Check to make sure all pins and toe clips are secure.
New Riders
• Ask your instructor to properly set up your bike for you.
• Ask your instructor how to use the brake.
• Take it slow. The pedals do not rotate backward like on a regular bike.
• For safety reasons, don’t stand and pedal without sufficient pedal resistance. Ask your instructor how to increase your pedal resistance if you would like to stand.
• Learn to handle loss of bike control. You can use the emergency brake knob to slow the flywheel and the pedals if your feet slip off the pedals.

Indoor Pools
-
Members 16 and older may swim without a lifeguard on duty. With a lifeguard on duty, members 14 and older are welcome, but swimmers younger than 14 must be accompanied by an adult. Exception to the rule: in states where lifeguard supervision is mandatory, the pool can't open without them.
Prevention Pool Contamination By Following These Steps:-
While we frequently test pool chemistry to maintain safe conditions, we ask patrons to assist us by stridently observing the following precautions:
• Shower before swimming and wash hands thoroughly after using the toilet facilities or changing diapers.
• Infants and toddlers who are not potty-trained must wear a swim diaper and a swimsuit (or rubber pants).
• Disposable diapers are not permitted in the pools.
• Remove your child from the water every 30 minutes for a bathroom check or a diaper change.
• Please change diapers only in bathrooms.
• Refrain from using the pools if you have been sick during the past 14 days.
• Swim caps and shoe covers are required at some locations.Contamination
In the event that contamination of a pool is detected, the pool will be closed immediately. It will not be returned to service until safe conditions have been reestablished and any required tests have been satisfactorily completed.

-
Deep Water Rules (14 years and younger)
-
Children younger than age 15 must pass a deep-water test in order to use diving boards, slides or to swim in water above the shoulders. The test consists of four activities, which must be completed without struggle:
• Swimming 25 meters on the stomach
• Swimming 25 meters on the back

General Rules and Precautions
-
We’re committed to providing a safe and secure environment at all our pools. As diving and swimming are potentially dangerous activities, we ask that all patrons observe the following rules and safety precautions while using the pool facilities.
Lifeguard reserves the right to restrict the pool use of patrons who are reckless or not showing appropriate caution in the pool area, as well as swimmers who appear fatigued or are lacking basic swimming skills.
• No rough horseplay, running, or standing on shoulders.
• No glass containers allowed in the pool area.
• Diving permitted only in the diving wells.
• Please observe all rules posted in the pool areas.
• Never swim alone. A minimum of two adults 18 years of age or older must be present whenever the swimming facility is in use.
• There is no substitute for adequate supervision. Children younger than 15 years of age must be accompanied to the bathing facility by a parent or guardian (an adult who is responsible for the children and their behavior.)
• In an emergency, notify a lifeguard or pool manager and contact help as soon as possible. Telephones are provided at pool facilities. Telephone numbers for nearest emergency medical service are posted.
• Only use pool facilities during posted hours of operation.
-
-
Lifeguard and Pool Staff
-
All lifeguards are certified in Lifeguard Training and have a certification in CPR for the Professional Rescuer. Please respect the authority of all lifeguards and follow their directions in the event of an emergency. Their first priority is the safety of all pool patrons.
All pool locations are equipped with an Automatic External Defibrillator (AED), which management, lifeguards and select staffers are trained to use.
All locations have a certified pool operator on staff. Operational issues should be directed to the manager on duty.
Sports Clubs management reserves the right to close any pool as necessary for cleaning, maintenance, or safety reasons.
-
-
Safety and Supervision (14 years and younger)
-
We ask that parents require their children to exit the pool and take a break a minimum of every 30 minutes. Please use these break times to evaluate your child’s bathroom needs, level of fatigue and sun or heat exposure.
-
-
Thunder and Lightning
-
In the event of thunder and lightning, the lifeguard will instruct patrons to evacuate the pools (including indoor pools). If lightning is in the area, the surrounding pool premises will also be cleared of people. The lifeguard will reopen the facility 30 minutes after the last heard thunder or, in the case of lightning, 30 minutes after the last observed incident.
